PORTSMOUTH – The Fabulous Find Resale Boutique in Kittery, Maine, announced a portion of the profits in April will be donated to the Coastal Conservation Association of NH for its continued effort to help restore oyster reefs in Great Bay.
CCA NH’s Oyster Shell Recycling Project is now in its fifth year. Shell is collected weekly from Jumpin’ Jay’s Fish CafĂ©, The Surf, Martingale’s Wharf, Sander's Fish Market, Robert’s Maine Grill, Newick’s and The Atlantic Grill. Support from the Fabulous Find will help finance the ongoing program and allow CCA NH to expand to other restaurants this summer. More than 5,000 bushels of oyster shells have been collected to date and are used to create new oyster reefs in Great Bay. Oysters are vital to clean water.
The Fabulous Find, a 501c3 nonprofit, is a boutique style resale shop, which partners with different local nonprofit organizations each month. Since opening in 2010, the Fabulous Find has awarded more than $550,000 to 80 Seacoast nonprofits. Quality donations are welcome. April's proceeds will be divided between CCA NH, Seacoast Eat Local and the White Pine Program. Fabulous Find is at 139 State Road (Route 1) and can be contacted by calling (207) 439 8484.
